PawBasic started with one simple mission: create a calm, safe, and loving grooming space right here in Cooksville, Mississauga.
Our founder, Sheron, grew up in this neighbourhood and always dreamed of opening a pet salon in the community she calls home. After formally studying pet grooming and years of hands-on experience, she began grooming from her own home in 2014.
Word spread quickly. Local dog moms loved the gentle handling. Puppies stopped being scared of bath time. Even nervous cats became repeat clients.

Sheron is the heart and hands behind PawBasic. A Cooksville local, formally trained groomer, and lifelong animal lover — she built PawBasic from her own home before opening the salon in 2023.
Her approach is simple: treat every pet like your own, take your time, and never stop learning. That philosophy is why hundreds of Mississauga pet parents trust her with their most precious family members.
When she's not grooming, she's being supervised by Ganzyu — PawBasic's resident corgi and unofficial general manager. 🐾
